The Scinergy pilot connects businesses and scientists to foster collaboration, support innovation, and drive R&D through matchmaking events and ongoing guidance.
What is Scinergy?
Scinergy aims to link scientists and businesses in Croatia, enabling the commercialization of research results and creating new projects collaboratively. The program provides firms access to scientific expertise and resources necessary to enhance existing products and develop new ones.
The initiative aims to:
- Facilitate science-business collaboration
- Support product development and joint funding applications
- Encourage public-private partnerships
Participating firms gain targeted connections with scientists across fields such as AI, energy, and biotechnology, as well as legal and communication support.
Kick-off Matchmaking Event: Building Connections for Innovation
The matchmaking event, held in February 2024, included a series of activities designed to foster collaboration and trust between businesses and scientists.
- On the first day, participants engaged in “speed-dating” sessions, allowing firms and scientists to quickly connect and discuss mutual interests.
- The second day featured workshops focused on ideation, with exercises that encouraged participants to explain potential solutions in simple terms and visualize ideas. These sessions facilitated open discussion, enabling participants to explore possible collaborations.
